Who Should Attend

This course is ideally suited to all individuals involved in the creation and administration of Immediacy CMS websites. Attendees undertake a number of workshops, starting with creating a test environment website, leading through to adding users, both Active Directory and non-active Directory, creating a permissions structure and the creation of a membership structure to name just a few. The course is designed to ensure that attendees have a thorough understanding of all aspects of Immediacy CMS website administration.

 

Course Prerequisites

Attendance of the Standard Editor Course. Knowledge of NT Users and networks will be beneficial.

 

Aims and Objectives

By the end of this course attendees will cover:

  • The CMC directory structure of a typical install
  • Creating test website environments for editors and developers
  • Editing site configuration files
  • An overview of Active Directory import
  • Setting permissions for CMC users and groups
  • Setting up page approval workflow
  • Switching on accessibility to force CMC editors and approvers to run an accessibility check
    • Restoring previous versions of pages
    • Restoring deleted pages
  • Creating User Polls
  • Creating Forms
  • Additional miscellaneous software configurations

 

This is an intensive course designed to give attendees a grounding in all the major tasks associated with administrating the Immediacy CMS.
