Who Should Attend
This course is ideally suited to all
individuals involved in the creation of Immediacy CMS templates.
Attendees undertake a number of workshops designed to equip them
with a range of knowledge including how to change the default
styles used by the Immediacy Editor, how to create multiple
editable area templates and how to create customised menus using
the Immediacy menu plug-ins.
Course Prerequisites
- Attendance of the Standard Editor
Course.
- Familiarity with CSS, HTML, XHTML.
Aims and Objectives
By the end of this course attendees will have
covered:
- The use of style sheets within the CMS and how to create
specific user selectable styles
- Convert flat HTML pages into working templates featuring
editable regions
- Example top-level navigation
- Example side navigation
- Footer navigation
- Breadcrumb trail
- Search Box
- Generating different output formats & themes
This course is designed to equip its attendees
with the knowledge to allow them to build Immediacy templates
either from scratch or from existing, non-Immediacy templates. It
is aimed primarily at Designers but should also be seen as an
essential introduction for the Developer Course.
