Web Asset Manager
The Immediacy Web Asset Manager's (WAM) primary purpose is to
provide a repository for the document filetypes and other assets
that organisations may wish to display via their Immediacy driven
websites. The Immediacy WAM allows files to be managed through
‘library services’, such as check in/out and version control.
Immediacy WAM is a viable and effective way to get documents
moved out of inefficient ‘shared drive’ silos and providing a
single, controlled source of documented information, particularly
if that documentation is destined for a webpage, either on an
organisation's Intranet of public facing websites .
From a technical perspective, a standard protocol called WebDAV
(Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) at the core of the
Immediacy WAM and provides flexibility in the way documents
can be accessed. For example, users can choose to use the familiar
Windows Explorer interface or the specially designed browser-based
Immediacy WAM one.
- A user-friendly interface and comprehensive toolset makes it
very straightforward to create secure, collaborative spaces online
for sharing and updating documents, prior to making them live on
Immediacy-driven sites
- Electronic documents of different types can be created and
managed using basic content services, including:
o Document version control
o File check-in/check-out
o Comments and alerts
- Advanced and highly sophisticated, custom workflow processes
can be automatically deployed through the integration of Skelta’s
powerful workflow software
- Paper documents can be rapidly captured into the library via
eCopy’s printer/scanner connector
- Web-based Distribution and Versioning (WebDAV), an extension to
the established HTTP system, enables you to manage documents across
multiple sites. There’s no proprietary coding to worry about and
users can access documents either through Windows Explorer or the
native Immediacy DMS interface
- Document administration, categorisation management, task
assignment, collaboration and versioning tools enable you to make
sure documents are always complete, accurate and traceable
- CMS/WAM integration capabilities include...
-
- Individual links/images
- Quick menu
- Combined search
- Folder or category view
- Browse sections of the WAM
