Accessibility
Accessibility compliance is primarily dependent on template and
style sheet design. For example accessibility guidelines require
that relative units are used e.g. '%' or 'em' or 'ex' instead of
absolute units e.g.'pt', 'px'. They also recommend ensuring good
colour contrast, setting titles for links where applicable, adding
'alt' tags to images and a whole host of other specific points.
In the main, good template and style sheet design, adequately
tested against an appropriate validation mechanism, such as Bobby,
will ensure that accessibility compliance is met.
A global setting enables making the addition of 'alt' tags to
images, 'title' tags to links and 'summary' tags to tables
mandatory.

Text only view
With the increasing emphasis on making sites accessible to all
and the requirement for public sector organisations to comply with
disability discrimination legislation, Immediacy is working to make
it as easy as possible for organisations to meet this need.
One important step in this direction is the delivery of an
automatic text-only version output template. This works seamlessly
across any page of the site and delivers high contrast, text-only
pages on demand.
