Template Development
At the most basic level, Immediacy templates are simple HTML
files with a few special tags to include dynamic content or
plugins.
This enables web designers who are familar with tools such as
Dreamweaver or Frontpage to jump straight in and start building
Immediacy websites with minimal learning. Developers who
prefer text-based editing tools or IDE's such as Visual Studio
are also easily able to pick up Immediacy templates.
Immediacy templates can use all the latest HTML coding
standards such as CSS 2 and XHMTL strict or
transitional.
Dynamic functionality such as menus can be included into
templates using Immediacy plugins.
Menu plugins examples of what are known as "templated
controls". This means that template designers can increase the
flexibility of the system by customising the HTML that is output by
the menus.
