Taxonomy and Categorisation Manager (TCM)

Developed in co-operation with public sector customers, The Immediacy Taxonomy and Categorisation Manager enables you to apply complex, industry-specific taxonomies, such as the local authority IPSV, in intuitive and cost-effective ways. Website managers and content owners can create, manage and enforce any appropriate taxonomy and classification scheme for web content and documents.

  • Automatically categorises information at the point of creation, making information much easier to manage, track, search for and retrieve

 

  • Pre-configured with the mandated, local authority IPSV taxonomy

 

  • Option to add or create an industry- or business-specific taxonomy or classification scheme

 

  • Users select the content they want to categorise through the TCM interfaces

 

  • Smart algorithms automatically extract keywords and a summary description from any given content (web pages or documents), and categorises it against a pre-defined taxonomy or classification scheme

 

  • You can either accept what has been generated, or filter and enhance it further. Slider controls can be used to widen or narrow the keyword and description creation to make it more specific or relevant

 

  • A whole range of basic metadata, as determined by schemes such as eGMS and Dublin Core, and including items such as title, creation date and author, will also be saved automatically as part of the process
