Deployment Server
This is the glue that unites the elements of the Immediacy Web
Content Management Suite and enables integration with other
solutions such as SharePoint.
The Immediacy DS speeds up and simplifies the transfer of
content from a staging or development server to a final ‘live’ or
production server. It makes it easy for you to build, deploy and
manage much larger websites – and provides excellent disaster
recovery and swift and simple upgrades with little or no
downtime.
- Transfer and synchronise content between two servers, or
support one-to many server configurations
- Provide capacity on demand in virtualised environments and add
extra resilience to your web server infrastructure
- Upload and synchronise content across servers in different
parts of the country or the world.
- Optimise content deployment and distribution. The DS will only
upload content that is new or different since the previous upload.
Content served from multiple locations is in sync and consistent
throughout your organisation’s web presence.
The latest version of Deployment Server provides the following
key features...
- New transmission mechanism. Default HTTP on port 80. Encrypted
by default
- Secured data transfer using encryption and keys.
- Improved logical analysis of documents to upload based on a log
file that records changes
- Membership provider model used instead of digest
authentication
- Single sign on using delegated authentication from staging to
live environments
- Selected live document upload from WAM
- Selected live list upload from SharePoint as XML
- Selected live file upload from TCM as XML
- Bi-directional support for live site to staging
- Improved log manager
- Roll-back to previous version
