Camelot improves intranet with software
rollout
The lottery operator has implemented new
content management software to improve efficiency
National Lottery operator Camelot has rolled
out a new content management system to manage the growth of its
intranet and internal web applications.
The new Immediacy software replaces Macromedia
Dreamweaver and will enable Camelot to deploy new web projects and
applications simply and more quickly.
The system has been provided to 25 web editors
and six administrators at Camelot, who share the responsibility of
maintaining and updating web content.
Clare Jordaan, Camelot’s intranet web
co-ordinator, says the system will increase efficiency.
'The intranet has proved a vital resource for
Camelot. Over 700 employees rely on it for everyday access to
applications, company information and documents. Being able to
update content easily and quickly is paramount to the site’s
success,' she said.
Camelot says it wanted a system that could
extend web site management outside the domain of the IT department.
This will allow the company to increase the number of its site
editors to ensure that content is updated faster and more
efficiently.
